I enjoyed meeting with you and other members of the Corporate Wetlands Restoration 
Partnership (CWRP). The Corporate Wetlands Restoration Partnership (CWRP) has taken vitally 
important efforts to restore aquatic habitat and support educational programs throughout our 
country. 

This unique public / private partnership is evidence that government and private industry can 
work effectively together to produce tangible results for a better environment and a more 
environmentally-conscious public. The White House Council on Environmental Quality strongly 
supports the CWRP and its partnership with federal, state and local government agencies 
through Coastal America as an effective vehicle to meet conservation goals and restore critical 
wetland and aquatic habitats. 

Considering the importance of healthy aquatic habitats to our environment and to our economy, 
this Administration will continue to work to restore and protect our Nation’s wetlands and to 
provide educational programs to help ensure a healthy and diverse ecosystem for future
